Mini Skirts in the 60's: In 1966 Mary Quart was making business with the short waist skimming dresses and skirts that was set 6 or 7 inches above the knee. Mary Quart was not the inventor of the short skirts but she in fact took the idea from the 1964 designs Courrèges, but instead she created the skirts even more shorter by her favor. This skirts were worn with sometimes cardigans, long sleeves, and knee high boots. In London the girls loved to wear her new style of a mini skirt.
This type of trend to women took off because the style was so different and it made the women and girls look youthful and good. The mini skirt was a man tracker, all the men always stopped, looked, and stared at a woman who would walk past with a mini skirt. Sometimes the outfit would be good for teenagers, but then it was also controversial, particularly amongst adults. The outfit was also known as the Chelsea Look.

Pantyhose/Tights in the 60's: When tights were introduced it did women a lot of justice. Women who wore skirts didn't go bare with out wearing their tights. Colored tights were very popular back in the 60’s. Tights in the late 60’s usually had patterns with arrangements of diamonds. Women preferred to wear their stockings instead of their bare legs out.
Fishnets were also a popular trend. Glitter gold and silver tights were popular for the Christmas period. A pair of Wolsey tights were 1 cent in the 60’s. The tights were made to last a month. Marks and Spencer were cheap, but they weren't good as much as the Wolsey pair.

The Brady Bunch: One of the 60’s most famous shows were The Brady Bunch. The Brady Bunch was an American Sitcom where the first show was released in 1969. Even though this show was one of the most popular and even most watched it never hit one of the top ten shows. Although the show was set in the late 1960’s and the early 70’s the show never displayed/avoided any controversy, but instead the show revealed a view of families(sibling rivalry, braces, and dating).
The series dealt with a host of domestic and social issues. The overall feeling presented was one of happiness, laughter, and most importantly "Ozzie and Harriet"-type wholesome family values. After 177 shows, ABC aired the last show in 1974 and then ABC cancelled the show. However, the show soon became a massive hit in reruns. In 1988 a christmas movie of the “Brady Bunch” released. In the 1990s, The Brady Girls Get Married, including the pilot of The Brady Brides, was rerun as a single two-hour movie on Nick at Nite, to celebrate the release of The Brady Bunch Movie in 1995.
